Pilot project: Opening up the dining hall of the Görlitz canteen as a lounge, communication and learning space
Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is pleased to present its students with a new offer as part of a pilot project by Studentenwerk Dresden and HSZG:
From January 27, 2025 until August 31, 2025, the dining hall of the canteen at the Görlitz site will be opened to students as a lounge, communication and learning space. In addition to the library, the university would like to offer its students further opportunities for learning and exchange.
The dining room usually closes at the same time as the library:
- Regular: Monday to Thursday until 6 p.m., Friday until 3 p.m.
- Extended hours during the examination period (February 3-15):
- Monday to Friday until 8 p.m.
- Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Students please note that opening hours may be restricted, especially during the lecture and exam-free periods.
Notes on use
In order to make this offer possible for all students in the long term, we ask them to use it responsibly:
- Keep the dining hall clean.
- Avoid disruptive behavior in order to offer everyone a pleasant learning and communication atmosphere.
We hope that this project will enrich your study time and look forward to your feedback. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact the Studentenwerk Dresden or us.
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences would like to thank Studentenwerk Dresden for their cooperation and for making this pilot project possible.
