The three-semester Master's course at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering starts in the summer semester of 2016.
The new three-semester Master's degree course in Mechanical and Energy Engineering will start at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences in the 2016 summer semester. The course begins on March 7, 2016 and the application deadline is February 26, 2016.
The Master's degree course qualifies students in the areas of design engineering, production engineering, plastics technologies and energy and environmental engineering. In these specializations, students acquire in-depth and specialist knowledge in their field from previous Bachelor's or Diploma courses. Depending on their chosen specialization, graduates typically work in areas such as mechanical, plant and vehicle engineering, energy supply and the manufacturing industry, as well as in licensing and supervisory authorities and research institutions. The admission requirement for this Master's degree is a Bachelor's or Diplom degree (at least 210 ECTS) in mechanical engineering, energy and environmental engineering or comparable engineering courses.
Last year, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the university completely redesigned the content of its courses and adapted them to the new requirements of practice. In addition to the Bachelor's degree courses in Mechanical Engineering and Energy and Environmental Engineering, the three-semester Master's degree course in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Technology is now also part of the program.
