"MAKE GÖRLITZ GREAT AGAIN!"
Campus Open Air Görlitz on June 2 and 3
It's that time again this Friday — The campus in Görlitz is ready to welcome you with amazing bands, an exciting FUN Area, plenty of space to chill out, delicious drinks and food, and DJs who will turn the evening and night on campus into an unforgettable event. The organizer, Second Attempt e.V., promises an event that offers plenty of excitement for all age groups.
As early as Thursday, June 2, at 7:00 p.m., music lovers can get in the mood for this year’s Campus Open Air—with a song slam featuring regional singer-songwriters and delicious cocktails. Folk singers Marek Dusil Blend (7:00–8:00 p.m.) and Jordan Prince (10:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.) will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening. Admission is free!
On June 3, the campus will already be buzzing with activity starting at 4:00 p.m. thanks to the participants in the FUN Area. Here, visitors can play, explore, and be amazed: over 10 Görlitz clubs and initiatives will present their offerings and invite visitors to get involved and give things a try. Anyone looking to take a break from the activities in the FUN Area will find a cozy spot in the CHILLOUT Area with laid-back, summery lounge music. Admission is free!
Starting at 6:00 p.m., the campus will finally come alive as the music program kicks off on the Main Stage. With their victory in the Campus Open Air band contest at Nostromo on April 29, the Polish band “Black Street Noise” has earned the honor of opening the musical program on the festival’s main stage. They’ll be followed by many more national musical highlights and capped off by the reggae and ska band “Berlin Boom Orchestra.”
Main Stage Evening Program:
- 6:30–7:15 p.m. Black Street Noise (Rock)
- 7:15–8:15 p.m. ARTWHY (Indie)
- 8:15–9:25 p.m. Heavy Dancing (Indie)
- 9:25–10:25 p.m. Blendend (Pop/Funk)
- 10:30 PM – 12:00 AM Berlin Boom Orchestra (Reggae) After-show
- 12:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. Hip hip Swing swing & Les Chat des nuits
Doors open at 6:00 PM; admission is €8 for high school and college students (with valid student ID) and €10 for general admission.
The team—a diverse mix of students from various faculties—is hoping for plenty of sunshine, a large crowd, and rousing performances. The organizers would like to extend a big thank you to the many supporters and sponsors, as a festival of this scale and quality would not be possible without them.
