Last free places for those who decide quickly

The time has finally come. On March 22, 2022, the Saxon Film Academy will launch its first “Film Production Assistant” course in Görlitz. The Saxon Film Academy was established with funding from the Free State of Saxony and support from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences as the responsible educational institution.

Those who act quickly can still submit an application for one of the few remaining spots in this course until mid-March 2022.

The “Film Production Assistant” course consists of a six-week theoretical component covering a wide range of topics, including film technology, project management, financing, cost estimation, copyright law, sustainability management, and team development. Experienced professionals from the film industry will share their in-depth expertise in short, cohesive blocks lasting two to five days. They come from Leipzig, Berlin, Babelsberg, and Hamburg. The list of films in which the Saxon Film Academy’s instructors have worked is long. Well over 200 television and feature film productions.

The six-week theoretical component is followed by a one- to two-month internship at a major film production company. The “Film Production Assistant” training program is a full-time course and concludes with the completion of the internship and a successfully passed exam, resulting in a “Film Production Assistant” degree in early August 2022.

To participate in the training program at the Saxon Film Academy, participants should bring flexibility and a passion for film.
