"Let's talk about it!" - Siemens goes KommPsych

More than 30 employees from the Siemens turbine plant in Görlitz (Siemens AG, Power and Gas Division) participated in workshops organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences between June 4 and 6. They were guided in small groups by 10 students majoring in communication psychology. The goal of the workshops was to generate innovative ideas for developing an “Engineering Program 2025+” with a focus on securing the site’s future. Both sides expressed great satisfaction with the collaboration. The Siemens employees were pleasantly surprised by the fresh perspective that a change of scenery, combined with professional organization, brought to their thinking. The students were delighted by the opportunity to put the methods they had learned to the test in practice and by the constructive atmosphere in which the workshops took place.

The collaboration is the result of an initiative by Thomas Ladeck and Jörg Trillenberg of Siemens AG and is overseen on the HSZG side by Prof. Maja Dshemuchadse. A continuation of the collaboration in the upcoming winter semester is being planned, and all participants are looking forward to it with anticipation.
