Laptop collection campaign at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences

Provide employment for people with disabilities and at the same time guarantee security for your personal data.

Who hasn't experienced this? The old laptop or computer is much too slow again or defects in the devices make working impossible. A new one is needed! But what happens to the data on the old devices? For fear of data being tapped or lost, these devices end up in our basements and drawers and are forgotten there. But that doesn't have to be the case, because the "RUN - ReUse Notebook" project and SAPOS gGmbH are tackling this problem and guarantee that when the device is recycled, the data will be irrevocably deleted or backed up for a fee and transferred to the donor.

But the best thing is that you support SAPOS gGmbH in creating and maintaining jobs for people with disabilities and by dismantling the devices or carrying out small repairs, people with disabilities can be given a job and given the opportunity to live independently.

A few years ago, "MachMit-Umweltmanagement" recognized the potential of the dormant treasures in our drawers and launched a collection campaign for cell phones together with SAPOS gGmbH. This successful (and still active) campaign is now to be supplemented by the "RUN-ReUse Notebook" project at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG). (www.reuse-notebook.com)

Two collection points are planned, one in the HSZG library in Zittau and one in Görlitz. Those responsible on site look forward to receiving your laptop and accessory donations and will support you in handing in the technology donation or the form for data backup

If you have any questions, please contact the "MachMit-Umweltmanagement" of the Zittau Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Mr. Andreas Bulcsu, 03583 612-4461, a.bulcsu(at)hszg.de.

We look forward to your donation!
