Students from the Faculties of Social Sciences and Managerial and Cultural Studies visited the state parliament.
Students from the Bachelor's degree program "Culture and Management" and the Master's degree program "Management of Social Change" visited the Saxon State Parliament in Dresden on 15 June as part of the joint seminar on culture and politics, led by Professor Dr. Matthias Theodor Vogt and Cornelia Müller Mag. Art. They accepted an invitation from Franziska Schubert (Bündnis90/Die Grünen), a member of the state parliament.
The students were able to exchange their questions and opinions on the (structural) development of rural areas, gender equality policy, funding programs and cross-border cooperation in a stimulating discussion with the MP.
This was followed by a tour of the state parliament itself. The students were given interesting insights "behind the scenes" into the history and architecture of the building as well as the day-to-day running of state politics, which would otherwise not have been so easy to find out.
