Culture and politics in Dresden

Students in the bachelor’s degree programme “Culture and Management” and the master’s degree programme “Management of Social Change” visited the Saxon State Parliament in Dresden on June 15 as part of a joint seminar on culture and politics led by Professor Dr. Matthias Theodor Vogt and Cornelia Müller, Mag. Art. visited the Saxon State Parliament in Dresden on June 15. They were there at the invitation of State Parliament Representative Franziska Schubert (Alliance 90/The Greens).

During a stimulating discussion with the representative, the students were able to exchange questions and opinions on the (structural) development of rural areas, gender equality policy, funding programs, and cross-border cooperation.

This was followed by a guided tour of the State Parliament building itself. The students gained interesting “behind-the-scenes” insights into both the history and architecture of the Building and the day-to-day workings of state politics—insights that would not otherwise have been so easily obtained.
