Achieving more together

Last November, Rector Alexander Kratzsch and AOK Plus signed a cooperation agreement. To mark the occasion, the rector welcomed Linda Zölfel, director of the Görlitz Regional Center, and Mario Hanke, business client advisor, to his office in Building Z I on the Zittau Campus. Whether it was the shortage of doctors in the region or the challenges posed by structural change, it quickly became clear during their discussion that there are many issues of concern to both the university and the health insurance provider. They also discussed potential collaboration on the Health and Environment Days (GuT), which the HSZG organizes annually.

During the joint meeting, the Rector expressed special thanks to Ms. Zölfel and Mr. Hanke. In 2023, AOK Plus awarded a Germany Scholarship to an HSZG student for the first time. The AOK Plus representatives were more than satisfied with their choice of scholarship recipient.

Following a discussion about potential areas of collaboration, Rector Kratzsch invited his guests to the “Business Meets Science” event, organized jointly with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), which will take place on January 11, 2024, at the Zittau Campus and serves as a good platform for regional companies every year.
