Submit an application again now for the Germany Scholarship!

For the 2016–2017 winter semester, our university was able to award 13 Germany Scholarships to students from various degree programmes. This it was reported on. The time has come again. Students at HSZG can once more submit applications for the scholarship, a program in which the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has participated since 2011.

For the 2017–2018 academic year as well, a large number of previous sponsors have committed to supporting students at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences by co-funding one or more Germany Scholarships.

Is it worth submitting an application?

You can apply for the estimated 12 Deutschlandstipendium awards for the 2017–2018 academic year by July 30, 2017, (postmark date) in writing ( not by email) to the Rector, Prof. Dr. phil. Friedrich Albrecht, Theodor-Körner-Allee 16, 02763 Zittau, along with the following application materials:

1. a letter of motivation no longer than two pages
2. a tabular resume
3. degree certificate for university entrance qualification; for foreign degree certificates, a translation that is transferable to the German system and a conversion to the German grading system
4. if applicable, proof of a special qualification that entitles the applicant to study in the respective program at the University of Zittau/Görlitz
5. For applicants making an application for admission to a master’s degree programme: a degree certificate for a first university degree and, if applicable, additional transcripts of records in accordance with the admission and selection requirements for the master’s degree programme
6. if applicable, documentation of academic achievements to date
7. if applicable, internship and employment references, as well as evidence of special awards and prizes, other skills, and additional involvement

If the application documents are not written in German or English, an officially certified translation into German must be included.

Applications must be submitted for the degree programme in which the applicant is enrolled or has applied for enrollment.

The submission of applications can be made to the Rector’s Office (Building Z I, Room 1.56).

The standard grant period covers one academic year (September 1, 2017 – August 31, 2018). The monthly grant amount is €300.

Applications that are not submitted by the deadline or in the proper form will not be considered in the selection process. The basis for the application is the Regulation on the Awarding of Germany Scholarships dated June 28, 2011.
