Apply online now for Master's degree programs

The registration deadline for a Master's degree course starting in the summer semester 2018 is January 15.

Until next Monday, 15.01.2018, those interested in continuing their studies from summer semester 2018 can still apply online enroll. They can choose from the following Master's degree programs. The relevant requirements are attached to the respective degree program.

For the first time, natural scientists have the opportunity to enrol on the Master's degree course in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (M.Sc.) .

 

Degree courses starting in the summer semester 2018

  • Mechatronics 210 ECTS points required (application also possible in the winter semester)
  • Culture and Management admission restricted, application deadline 15.01.
  • Energy Technology (application also possible in the winter semester) 210 ECTS credits required, for Bachelor graduates with 180 ECTS credits propaedeutic semester possible
  • Mechanical Engineering (application also possible in the winter semester) 210 ECTS credits required, propaedeutic semester possible for Bachelor graduates with 180 ECTS credits
  • New! Pharmaceutical Biotechnology 210 ECTS credits required, from winter semester 2018/19 propaedeutic semester planned for applicants with 180 ECTS credits
  • Biotechnology and applied ecology 210 ECTS credits required to start in the summer semester (180 ECTS credits in the winter semester). For the field of study "Protection and Use of Biodiversity" application to the HSZG, for the field of study "Environmental Sciences and Biotechnology" application to the IHI Zittau  
  • Integrated Management Systems 210 ECTS credits required (integrated management with 180 ECTS credits possible in the winter semester). Special application see website (application also possible in the winter semester)
  • Management of Social Change 210 ECTS credits required to start in the summer semester (winter semester 180 ECTS credits)
  • Social Gerontology part-time, subject to a fee (500 €/sem.) 210 ECTS credits required

 

 

Places still available in the Master's degree programs of the Faculty of Social Sciences

 

Applications for the consecutive Master's degree course "Management of Social Change" and the part-time Master's degree course "Social Gerontology" are still open until January 15, 2018.

 

The consecutive Master's program is aimed at Bachelor's graduates with a degree in humanities, economics or related subjects. The focus of the content is on transformation research, organizational sociology and management processes in changing economic and social systems as well as empirical social research. Master's students are involved in current research projects at the university and related institutes. The course director is the renowned sociologist Prof. Dr. habil. Raj Kollmorgen, who is an expert in the field of organizational sociology and elite research.

 

The part-time Master's in Gerontology is aimed at those interested in working in the field of elderly care or related areas. The focus is on teaching gerontological theory and intervention processes, but also on the socio-political framework in which ageing takes place in society. Students are actively involved in existing research projects and also acquire theory-based knowledge of empirical social research. The head of the course is the internationally renowned sociologist Prof. Dr. Andreas Hoff, who has several years of teaching and research experience at the University of Oxford (UK).

 

The enrolment period for both courses runs until 15.01.2018. The admission applications are available for download on the website of the Admissions Office.
