The application deadline for master’s degree programmes at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has been extended.

Interested applicants still have until February 28, 2018, to apply for graduate programs beginning in the summer semester of 2018 online . They can choose from the following master’s degree programmes. The corresponding admission requirements are listed with each degree programme.

For the first time, students with a background in the natural sciences have the opportunity to enroll in the Master's degree programme in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (M.Sc.) .

Degree programmes Starting in the Summer Semester 2018

• mechatronics 210 ECTS credits required (applications also accepted for the winter semester)
• Energy Engineering (Applications also accepted in the winter semester) 210 ECTS credits required; a preparatory semester is available for Bachelor’s graduates with 180 ECTS credits
• Mechanical Engineering (Applications are also accepted during the winter semester) 210 ECTS credits required; a preparatory semester is available for Bachelor’s graduates with 180 ECTS credits
• New! Pharmaceutical Biotechnology 210 ECTS credits required; a preparatory semester is planned for applicants with 180 ECTS credits starting in the 2018/19 winter semester
• biotechnology and applied ecology 210 ECTS credits required for admission in the summer semester (180 ECTS credits in the winter semester). For the “Conservation and Use of Biodiversity” track, submit an application to HSZG; for the “Environmental Sciences and Biotechnology” track, submit an application to IHI Zittau
• integrated management systems 210 ECTS credits required (in the winter semester, integrated management is available with 180 ECTS credits). For specific application details, see the website (applications are also accepted in the winter semester)
• management of social change 210 ECTS credits required for start in the summer semester (180 ECTS credits for the winter semester).
• Social Gerontology Part-time program, fee-based (500 €/semester); 210 ECTS required— you can even submit your application here until March 15, 2018.

Application deadline for the “Social Gerontology” Master's degree programme extended

You can still submit an application for the part-time Master's degree programme in “Social Gerontology” until March 15, 2018. The program is designed for those interested in working in the field of elder care or related areas. The curriculum focuses on teaching gerontological theory and intervention processes, as well as the sociopolitical context in which aging occurs within society. Students are actively involved in existing research projects and also gain theory-based knowledge of empirical social research. The program director is the internationally renowned sociologist Prof. Dr. Andreas Hoff, who, among other things, has several years of teaching and research experience at the University of Oxford (UK).
