On April 11, representatives from the International Office at the Technical University of Liberec (TUL) visited the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG). The purpose of the visit was to plan a joint internationalERASMUS+ Staff Week to be heldin the spring of 2019. The week-long Staff Week is aimed at international offices at universities in Germany and abroad and offers, among other things, the opportunity to exchange ideas on current ERASMUS projects, attend topic-specific workshops, and present one’s own home institution, for example, at study fairs.
The planned week will be rounded out by a sightseeing program in the Liberec region and the cities of Görlitz and Zittau.
Together with representatives from our University’s International Office, the group visited various higher education institutions after the meeting, including the Glass Mechatronics Lab, the library, the student canteen, and a student housing facility operated by the 'Studentenwerk' (student union).
The guests were impressed by the modern facilities available to students in Zittau. The next meeting of the preparatory team, which will include a return visit to TUL, is scheduled for August 2018. The planned ERASMUS Staff Week is the first of its kind to be jointly organized by TUL and HSZG. Further details and the Staff Week program are expected to be announced in October 2018 in a separate call for applications.
