More than 100 students experienced a culinary and cultural Christmas trip around the world on December 16 at the DeziBar.
On December 16, more than 100 students and university staff attended the International Christmas Dinner in the DeziBar.
Elaborately prepared dishes from the students' home countries such as Albania, Indonesia, Iran, Morocco, Nepal, Syria, Ukraine and Vietnam were completely devoured in no time at all. The menu also included dishes from Germany, which were no less popular.
At the party that followed, necessity was turned into a virtue. As the prepared international music fell victim to the non-functioning internet in dormitory D, we improvised with guitar and "old" music, which only enhanced the exuberant and cheerful atmosphere.
Many thanks to all the hard-working cooks, as well as to Ms. Samp, the Studentenwerk and the DeziBar.
We will be hosting another International Dinner in April 2017. The motto will then be: "Men can cook too".
