International Christmas Dinner

On December 16, more than 100 students and university staff gathered at the DeziBar for the International Christmas Dinner.

Elaborately prepared dishes from the students’ home countries—such as Albania, Indonesia, Iran, Morocco, Nepal, Syria, Ukraine, and Vietnam—were devoured in no time. The menu also featured dishes from Germany, which proved just as popular.

At the party that followed, necessity became a virtue. Since the planned international music fell victim to the non-functioning internet in Dorm D, the group improvised with a guitar and “old-school” music, which only added to the lively and cheerful atmosphere.

A heartfelt thank you to all the hardworking cooks, as well as to Ms. Samp, the 'Studentenwerk' (student union), and the DeziBar.

In April 2017, we’ll be hosting another International Dinner. The theme will be: “Men Can Cook, Too.”
