INSIDER MEETING 2025

Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences stands out for its diversity at the career and education fair in Löbau and signs a cooperation agreement with the Saxony Cooperative State University that is unique in the state of Saxony.

Large crowds, enthusiastic conversations, and a strong presence: At the INSIDERTREFF 2025 at Messepark Löbau, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences showcased itself as a modern educational institution offering diverse opportunities with an interactive exhibition booth spanning over 300 square meters.

Particular attention was drawn to the university’s experiential and hands-on stations, as well as the Student Advisory Service information booth, where prospective students could learn about more than 40 degree programmes. The booth for dual and cooperative study programs (KIA) also presented an attractive offering to numerous young visitors in the large exhibition hall.

Good advice and lots of experiences!

Highlights included: augmented reality applications from the SCO-TTi research team, an H₂ scooter, insights into biotechnology and robotics, and an aging simulation suit. The team from the Applied Nursing Science degree programme also drew plenty of attention with their nursing-related exhibits. Numerous subject-specific academic consultants from the university’s faculties impressed visitors with their advisory services, and the new teacher training degree programme for secondary schools with a focus on special needs education —set to begin in the upcoming winter semester—also generated significant interest. Outside, the team in the mobile learning center —a converted Airstream trailer—provided information on experiments and study opportunities.

In addition to providing an in-depth Student Advisory Service, the HSZG demonstrated why it is also an exciting employer. Colleagues from the FH-Personal project and the division of Human Resources Administration & Law presented exciting job openings and attractive training and development opportunities at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Participants in the university rally could earn points and win prizes by taking knowledge quizzes at various stations.

Cooperation Between HSZG and DHSN

A special highlight: the ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement between Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Saxony Dual University (DHSN). The two educational institutions plan to work more closely together in the future to ensure a supply of academically qualified young professionals in the region. Among other things, the agreement provides for mutual access to classes and libraries, as well as coordinated degree programs in computer science and Electrical Engineering.

The HSZG’s appearance at INSIDERTREFF 2025 was a great success and impressively highlighted just how attractive the university is as a place to study—with practice-oriented degree programs and close ties to the regional economy.
