Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences scores with diversity at training and study fair in Löbau and concludes a cooperation agreement with the Saxony Cooperative State University that is unique in Saxony.
Large crowds, enthusiastic discussions and a strong presence: at the INSIDERTREFF 2025 at Messepark Löbau, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences presented itself as a modern place of education with diverse perspectives with an interactive exhibition stand measuring over 300 square meters.
The focus was particularly on the university's experience and hands-on stations as well as the information stand of the General Student Advisory Service, where prospective students could find out about the more than 40 degree courses. The stand for dual and cooperative studies (KIA) in the large exhibition hall was also an attractive offer for numerous young visitors.
We experienced an overwhelming response - it was great to see how many prospective students actively participated in our hands-on stations and - in some cases with very specific questions - sought personal advice.
”Included: augmented reality applications from the SCO-TTi research team, a H₂ scooter, insights into biotechnology and robotics as well as an age simulation suit. The team from the Applied Nursing Science degree program also attracted a lot of attention with their nursing-related exhibits. Numerous student advisors from the university faculties were on hand to offer advice, and there was also a great deal of interest in the teaching degree course for secondary schools with special needs education, which starts in the coming winter semester. In the outdoor area, the team provided information on experiments and study options in a mobile learning space - a converted Airstream trailer.
In addition to providing in-depth study advice, the HSZG showed why it is also an attractive employer. Colleagues from the UAS Human Resources project and the Human Resources and Legal Department presented exciting job offers and attractive training and development opportunities at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Participants in the university rally were able to collect points at various stations through knowledge tests and win prizes.
A special highlight: the ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement between the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Duale Hochschule Sachsen (DHSN). The two educational institutions want to work more closely together in the future in order to secure academically qualified young professionals in the region. Among other things, the agreement provides for the reciprocal opening of courses and libraries as well as coordinated degree courses in computer science and electrical engineering.
I am very pleased about this new partnership with DHSN. It is a strong signal for the region and shows how we can create attractive educational pathways together - close to practice and tailored to the requirements of the world of work.

The HSZG's appearance at INSIDERTREFF 2025 was a great success and impressively underlined how attractive the university is as a place to study - with practical study programs and close links to the regional economy.
