For the fourth year in a row, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the City of Zittau, is hosting the Health and Environment Days (GUt) —this year from June 4 to June 8, 2018.

As part of the “MACH MIT” environmental management initiative, these days—with their planned activities—are designed to promote the well-being of our university community. When putting together the program, the organizers focused on activities that are fun, reduce stress, have a positive impact on both the natural environment and people’s moods, and promote health.

After successfully launching our first running event last year, we would like to once again cordially invite everyone from the university, the Zittau city administration, and local businesses and companies to our sporting event—the University-City-Company Run!

The race starts on June 6, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. on the Zittau campus, Theodor-Körner-Allee 8.

The focus of the event is on the fun of running together. The run is for anyone who enjoys being active. Top athletic performance isn’t what matters. The goals are to participate, be part of the event, and complete a total of 9 km on a loop course.

Get your competitive and team spirit going and register as an individual or as a team of 2, 3, or 4 by May 25, 2018 online .

Another Highlight—The Pedometer Challenge

We’d like to take on the challenge again this year.
So you’re cordially invited to the third Step Counter Challenge as part of the 2018 Health and Environment Days (Gut).

Motto:
Zittau City Administration vs. HSZG—Which institution and which teams will go the farthest and win the challenge cup this time, from June 4, 2018, to June 8, 2018!

Rules:

• Seven teams each from the Zittau City Administration and the HSZG (ZI+GR)
• Each team consists of 2 people
• Each person receives a pedometer
• Prizes for the good teams and the good individual participants
• Challenge cup for the good institution

Start & distribution of pedometers on June 4, 12:15–1:15 p.m., ZI: cafeteria foyer, GR: G II/Room 205, University Sports Office

End of the event & return of pedometers on June 8, 12:15–1:15 p.m., ZI: Cafeteria Foyer, GR: G II, Room 205, University Sports Office
