On Saturday, April 14, the last “University” event of this school year will take place. This time, the Faculty of Social Sciences is organizing the program under the title: “I See Something You Don’t See—An Interactive and Hands-On Introduction to the Psychology of Perception.”
High school students in 9th grade and above who are interested can learn what perception and psychology have to do with each other, how perception works, and why we can’t always rely on what we see, hear, and feel.
After an interactive introductory lecture, participants will walk through two different courses. In the first, they will explore their own perception under normal conditions. The second course offers insight into what it’s like to live with physical impairments and limited perceptual abilities.
The event will take place at the Görlitz Campus (Brückenstraße 1, 02826 Görlitz) in Building G I (Bluebox), Lecture Hall 1.01 . It begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. Anyone interested in attending on April 14 can register to register for the Student-University event on Saturday.
