IAPWS Conference 2016 in Dresden

The German National Committee of the IAPWS invites you to the international conference in Dresden.

The "2016 IAPWS Meeting" of the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS) will take place at the Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe in Dresden from 11 to 16 September 2016. The conference is being organized on behalf of the German National Committee of the IAPWS under the leadership of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Prof. H.-J. Kretzschmar, also Chairman of the German National Committee and President of the IAPWS, heads the organizing team of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

All about water: IAPWS products are calculation algorithms and international standards for the thermodynamic state variables and transport properties of water vapor, water, ice, seawater, humid air and all other mixtures with water that are used as working fluids in energy technology processes, as well as guidelines and standards for power plant chemical processes. The algorithms contained therein are used in calculation programs for the simulation, optimization and online monitoring of machines, apparatus and systems in energy, process and supply engineering worldwide.

As part of the conference, the 2016 IAPWS Symposium - Steam, Water and Aqueous Mixtures in Energy and Process Engineering - will take place on September 14, 2016. Around 100 experts from Egypt, Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, France, Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland, Japan, the Republic of Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and the USA are expected to attend this open symposium.
