Sign language course participants created a festive atmosphere with a "sign mob" at Dresden's Striezelmarkt.
Around half of the participants (15-20 participants) of the additional qualification in German Sign Language at the HSZG took part in a "Sign Mob" on 25.11.16 as hearing people together with their sign language lecturer Ms. Nicole Friedrich in cooperation with other sign language learners from the Dresden area. At 6 pm, everyone performed a Christmas carol in German sign language at the candle arch at Dresden's Striezelmarkt. This was filmed by MDR for a short report on German Sign Language! A "sign mob" because sign language users only attract attention with their sign language and want to draw attention to it with this action. The sign language course at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences on the social sciences campus in Görlitz has been busy practicing. The main aim of participation is to put into practice what has already been learned at .
The qualifying sign language course has been offered at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences since the 2016/17 winter semester. With over 50 registrations, interest was very high!
