HSZG is one of Germany's most popular universities

The HSZG is ranked seventh in the StudyCheck university ranking, making it Saxony's most popular university.

With the StudyCheck university ranking, Germany's largest university evaluation portal presents the most popular universities in Germany in 2018.

Based on a total of 45,050 evaluations by students, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences not only took seventh place in the nationwide university ranking with a score of 8.82, but is also Saxony's most popular university. Many thanks to all the hard-working students who took the time to rate their HSZG despite the stress of exams and everyday life!

Among many others, we are particularly pleased with the following ratings:

"Great professors, great studies"

Clara about her mechanical engineering degree:

"I am very satisfied with my KIA studies at HS Zittau/Görlitz. The course content is very well coordinated and the professors always have an open ear and are very helpful with questions."

"I have no regrets"

Nathalie about her Tourism Management degree:

"The degree course is really very good! I don't regret having started studying. We have very good lecturers who also make an effort for each individual. As we study in a smaller 'class', the relationship is more informal in contrast to large degree courses."

"Classroom-style learning"

Henry about his degree course in Electrical Energy Systems

"The lecturers are often and easily accessible. They are happy to help with questions. The interaction between students is very good."

First place goes to Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences. The Protestant University of Applied Sciences Rhineland-Westphalia-Lippe came second and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau came third!

The university ranking is based on all the experience reports published on StudyCheck.de over the past calendar year. The ranking of the individual institutions is determined by the so-called score value, which is formed by the star rating and the recommendation rate of the students. The wording of the experience reports is not included in the evaluation in order to guarantee the greatest possible comparability of the ratings.

In order to receive the Top University 2018 award, an institution must be in the top 10, have received at least 50 reviews in the 2017 calendar year, achieve a star rating of 3.8 or higher and be recommended by at least 90% of students. Reviews that violate the conditions of participation on StudyCheck.de and are therefore not published are not included in the calculation.
