Just in time for the 25th anniversary, the 3,000 student mark was exceeded once again.
There are currently just over 3,000 students enrolled at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. This year, Rector Professor Friedrich Albrecht expects a further increase of around 50 students. This is a clear sign that enrolment has bottomed out. In the 2015 winter semester, the number of enrolled students was 2,932 - the lowest level since 1998.
The current figure brings the target for 2025 within realistic reach. By then, the number of students at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences should be back at 3,200. The main focus is always on quality assurance and improvement of teaching and strengthening research.
