The University Council’s responsibilities lie in the area of strategic steering. Alongside the Rector’s Office and the Senate, it is the third pillar supporting the university’s overarching decisions. It makes recommendations on shaping the university’s profile and improving its achievement and competitiveness, and formulates principles for the allocation of positions and funds. It plays a very important role in the election of the Rector, as it is responsible for drawing up the nomination. Other important tasks include approving the university’s development plan and budget.
