The tasks of the University Council lie in the area of strategic management. Alongside the Rectorate and Senate, it is the third main pillar for the university's overarching decisions. For example, it makes recommendations on profile development and improving the performance and competitiveness of the university and formulates principles for the use of positions and funds. It plays a very important role in the election of the Rector, as it is responsible for drawing up the proposal. Other important tasks include approving the university's development plan and business plan.
