Helping hands needed in care!

The Görlitz district is currently particularly hard-hit by the coronavirus, with two inpatient care facilities affected. Every helping hand is needed here.

Therefore, the district is launching a call for volunteers to recruit additional caregivers to assist seniors in their homes and residents in the care facilities, and to establish a pool of volunteers.

We are particularly looking for people with training or experience in a nursing, medical, or social services profession.

Interested students and employees of the HSZG who have additional free time outside of their digital-based teaching and remote work should please send an email to anfragen-corona(at)kreis.gr.de with the following information:

• Name, phone number, or email address,
• Place of residence (including the radius within which you could be deployed),
• professional qualifications,
• Experience in nursing: yes/no,
• Willingness to provide direct care and support to people infected with COVID-19: yes/no,
• Date of birth (assignments with COVID-19 patients are only possible for those under 65 years of age),
• Time and duration of availability.

Information: The data will be shared with the facility operators.

The Görlitz district will refer interested individuals to the facility operators.
