From renewable energy to sustainable agriculture and green technology—this podcast explores various aspects of climate protection. It offers insights into the world of researchers, entrepreneurs, and activists working on solutions to environmental problems.
From hesitation to success: the journey to the finished podcast
The creation of 'Green Stuff Against the Apocalypse' was not without its challenges. Originally planned as a modest series of 5-7 episodes, the podcast soon gained momentum. Not least thanks to the unstinting support of the Birnbaum Media Lab from Leipzig. Their motivation and exceptional production efforts played a crucial role in the successful production of the podcast.
In the first season, consisting of 19 episodes, we join various professors, lecturers, and staff members at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences to explore the university’s stance on climate protection and how it contributes to climate protection. We gain insights into the HSZG’s integrated climate protection strategy, discuss the challenges and solutions related to climate anxiety, and explore the importance of sustainable food systems, local climate action, and the role of the private sector in environmental protection. In addition, we examine opportunities for energy self-sufficiency and explore innovative approaches such as the use of natural fibers in climate protection.
