The lecture on the history of the building complex of the historic weaving school was very well attended.
Well over 100 visitors listened to the lecture by Dr. Wolfgang Menzel "On the construction history of the building complex of the historic weaving school" on 24 February. Information was provided on the origins and former use of the current building Z I of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. The visitors were then taken on a tour of the modern teaching building to see what it looks like today. Two stages of the extensive reconstruction of the building on the corner of Hochwaldstraße and Theodor-Körner-Allee have now been completed. The visitors were delighted with the successful integration of historical elements into modern functionality, which enables teaching and scientific work at the highest level. Among the guests were many former and current employees of the university, as well as numerous interested Zittau residents.
