Cross-border studies and future prospects

For the fourteenth time, 13 graduates (from Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Russia) of the trinational, English-language degree programme in Information and Communication Management were able to graduate at our university’s Görlitz campus as part of the international network Neisse University .

Official representatives of the district and the three participating institutions, as well as guests and parents, accepted the invitation to this event, which has now become a cherished tradition. In this context, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Friends of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences e.V. for their wonderful support in organizing this celebration.

This international educational consortium, Neisse University, underscores the great importance of cross-border cooperation in the Germany/Poland/Czech Republic tri-border region. This project, implemented by the Technical University of Liberec, the Technical University of Wrocław, and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, has continued to prove its conceptual viability.

To implement the principle of equality, students studied for one year each, on a rotating basis, at the Technical University of Liberec (Czech Republic), the Technical University of Wrocław (Poland), and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (Germany). The modular structure of the degree programme ensures close integration of the course content. Applied computer science, economics, and communication psychology are combined with aspects of intercultural education, thereby guaranteeing a high degree of flexibility in the career paths of graduates of this degree programme.

This trinational educational partnership has contributed—and continues to contribute—to the creation of a European education market in the Neisse–Nisa–Nysa Euroregion. This project serves to deepen cooperation within the Euroregion, both between the universities and between the universities and the business community.
