Zittau: Half a century after successfully graduating, the seasoned electrical engineers from the class of 1965 reunited at their former place of work. The reunion was organized by former Zittau Mayor Gerd Arnold—himself a graduate of that class.
The Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Prof. Klaus-Dieter Haim, personally welcomed the group and discussed the university’s ongoing development of its academic programs.
The guided tour of the recently renovated building of the department of electrical engineering—which offers students good learning conditions—was very well received by the alumni. The Senior Laboratory Engineer of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dr. Wolfgang Menzel, provided information on both the historical features of the building complex and the extensive technical innovations in the laboratories, which are currently still under construction.
