Health and Environment Days 2017

For the third year in a row, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the City of Zittau, is hosting the Health and Environment Days (“GUt”)— this year from May 29 to June 2.

Last year, the organizers successfully launched the pedometer challenge between the university and the city. This year, the organizing team would like to invite everyone from the university, the Zittau city administration, and—for the first time—companies and businesses in Zittau to a new sporting event, the University-City-Company Run.

As part of the University Sports Festival and the Health and Environment Days, the University-City-Company Run will take place on May 31, 2017.

This new event focuses on the fun of running together and making new connections. The run is open to everyone. The goal is to be active, get moving, and make a statement. The more unusual the outfit, the better the attention it draws to the participants, their team, or the participating institutions/organizations.

Those interested can run as individual participants or in teams of 2, 3, or 4. We warmly invite all running enthusiasts from across our university, all students, and all institutions and organizations in and around Zittau.

The organizers look forward to receiving your registration by May 23, 2017, via the website.

In addition, visitors to the GUt can look forward to many great activities that are fun, help relieve stress, and have a positive effect on physical and mental well-being. This year’s University Sports Festival on May 31, starting at 1:00 p.m., will once again offer guests a variety of athletic challenges.
