Health and environment days

HSZG starts today with action days for students and staff

We all know how important health and environmental management is, both in a professional and personal context. But when exactly do we take the time to learn about these issues, discuss them, or even take action ourselves?

From June 3–14, 2015, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will host the "HealthHealth and Environment Days", abbreviated as “GUt HSZG.” In doing so, we are not only fulfilling our legally mandated—and, for us, self-evident—duty of care toward our employees and students, but we are also taking the opportunity to organize eight informative and varied days on our campus. Active breaks with colleagues, nutritionally balanced meal options, on-site massages during work hours, trendy sports at the university sports festival, coordination, balance, and reaction time training on the pedalo®, trying out cycling instead of driving, herbalism for everyone, shopping at the swap and flea market, and a laptop collection drive for old devices—there should be something for everyone here.

We invite you to take advantage of these offerings. The activities will take place on both the Zittau and Görlitz campuses. They were developed jointly by HSZG staff and students, together with partners such as the Dresden Student Services (Studentenwerk Dresden), the Saxony Accident Insurance Fund (Unfallkasse Sachsen), sneep, Second Attemp e. V., physical therapists, regional providers of organic products, and the City of Zittau.

So: Stop by and get involved—for your health and for our environment. You can find an overview of all events in our flyers, which are available in all buildings and student canteens, on the bulletin boards in the buildings, and always up-to-date on our website
