The HSZG supports the “GehWählen” campaign organized by Saxony’s Studentenwerke (student unions), universities, student councils, and the Saxony State Rectors’ Conference in connection with the state legislative election.
On September 1, 2019, the state legislative election will take place in Saxony. This state legislative election is also a landmark election for Saxony’s universities. An alliance comprising the Saxon 'Studentenwerke' (student unions), the Saxon State Rectors’ Conference, and the Conference of Saxon Student Bodies aims to use the #GehWählen campaign to make all students aware of the election date—which falls during the break between semesters—and to encourage them to exercise their right to vote. For students with their primary residence in Saxony who cannot vote in person on September 1, we expressly provide information about the option of voting by mail! The paperwork for voting by mail can be requested from the city or municipal administration of your respective primary residence.
The HSZG supports this campaign—take this opportunity to exercise your democratic right as a citizen and cast your vote. Get informed and form your own opinion about the parties’ platforms. Above all, exercise your right to vote on September 1, 2019!
