Fruit will come later!

Exhibition on educational programs for sustainable development (ESD) in the Peter-Dierich-Haus in Zittau.

The "MachMit" environmental management team took part in the Saxon exhibition on educational programs for sustainable development (ESD) 2017 in Upper Lusatia under the motto: "Fruits will come later!". This exhibition will tour and be on display throughout Saxony.

The call for participation came from the International Meeting Center St. Marienthal (IBZ) and was intended to offer the various initiatives for sustainable development in Saxony an opportunity to present themselves. Many of these sustainable projects lead a shadowy existence and need to be brought more into people's awareness and focus, according to the IBZ St. Marienthal.

"I am more interested in the future than the past, because I intend to live in it."

Albert Einstein

In the fall of 2015, the United Nations adopted Sustainable Development Goals for the entire international community. These are ambitious goals that apply universally and, for the first time, make all states accountable. This is considered a milestone on the path to more sustainable development. An integral part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a global education agenda for the years 2016 to 2030, for which UNESCO is the lead agency within the UN system.
