A breath of fresh air in higher education didactics in Saxony
Nora Terlunen was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees. Her expertise promises to provide valuable impetus for the further development of higher education didactics in Saxony.
Professor Sophia Keil, Vice President for Education and International Affairs and a member of the board of the Saxon Center for Higher Education Pedagogy (HDS), is delighted to congratulate Nora Terlunen on her election as a new member of the HDS Board of Trustees. This appointment is not only personal recognition for Ms. Terlunen but also an important step for our university.
The HDS Board of Trustees plays a central role in connecting higher education pedagogy with the Saxon higher education community. It ensures that the programs in higher education pedagogy consistently reflect the current state of scholarly discourse and the needs of faculty members. The voting members of the Board of Trustees consist of ten representatives from various stakeholder groups at the partner universities, who represent the diversity of Saxony’s higher education landscape.
It has the important task of making recommendations to the Executive Board regarding the HDS’s organizational, program, and quality development. The Board of Trustees meets once a year in a plenary session and may form working groups to carry out its work between plenary sessions.
I am very pleased about the trust placed in me and consider it a great honor to be a member of the Saxony University Didactics Board of Trustees. I will work with great commitment to further promote the quality and relevance of higher education didactics.
The appointment of Nora Terlunen to this important committee is a great asset for Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and for the entire HDS community. She brings a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of higher education pedagogy, which she will apply to her new role. Her expertise and dedication will undoubtedly help to further enhance the quality and relevance of the university’s teaching and learning programs.
I would like to thank Nora Terlunen for her willingness to take on this responsible task and wish her every success and pleasure in her new role.
