Festival fever in Zittau

From May 26 to 28, the Gerhart-Hauptmann Theater in Zittau will host the “3LänderSpiel” International Theater Festival. Nine theater performances over three days, plus a festival breakfast and a party, among other things, await guests! Two theaters are coming all the way from Wrocław, the European Capital of Culture: “Teatr ad spectatores” will present “Obcy z mons” (“The Aliens from Mons”), that acting is possible even while lying down; “Psychoteatr” features electronic sounds by the band “Violet Ultra” in the drama “LAS” (“The Forest”) (trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAYZsCoVe80). For the first time, a theater from Ukraine will also be making a guest appearance: the Theatre of Displaced People Ukraine will present the world premiere of “Captivity.”

To close out the festival, the Czech indie-electro-pop band “NANO” will perform

Tickets for students are available for 5 euros per performance, and the festival pass for all productions is 15 euros at the theater box offices or at the student ticket booth in the Zittau student canteen on Wednesday, May 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Anyone who registers by Monday, May 23, at 12:00 p.m. at presse@g-h-t.de has the chance to win a festival pass. We’ll be giving away 10 festival passes—which grant access to all performances—from among all responses.
