KIA Shuttle Start
Dual students get off to a flying start at the HSZG.
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences kicked off the 2023 winter semester with a spectacular start that filled dual-track students with enthusiasm. On September 11, just in time for the start of the preparatory courses as part of the “Come In” weeks, the “KIA Shuttle Start” took place—a welcome event that made the start of their dual study journey even more enjoyable for the students.
The event began with a warm welcome, during which the students received their legendary KIA shirts from the organizers. This was a symbolic moment marking the start of their academic careers at HSZG.
After an inspiring welcome speech by Rector Prof. Dr. – Ing. Alexander Kratzsch and KIA officer Kristin Groß, the excited group made their way to the university’s high voltage facility. There, they were greeted by Rüdiger Cervinka and his colleague Mario Dreßler, who offered a preview of their upcoming studies with exciting and spectacular experiments.
The students left the event not only with broadened horizons, but also with a stronger sense of community and a sense of anticipation for the upcoming challenges and opportunities that the dual study program at HSZG will bring.
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to everyone involved and to all supporters who helped make the KIA Shuttle Kickoff an unforgettable experience. We wish the dual-track students a successful start to their studies and look forward to a productive and exciting academic journey.
