The CDHAW is a project of the German University Consortium (DHIK) and Tongji University in Shanghai.
The course lasts eight semesters (4 years). The 1st - 6th semester takes place at Tongji University. This includes extensive German lessons and lectures in key subjects in German, held by German professors in Shanghai. For the 7th and 8th semester, students come to a German consortium university to complete a theory semester and do an internship and Bachelor thesis in a German company.
Conversely, German students also have the opportunity to complete part of their studies at Tongji University - with or without a double degree.
