Successful "INSIDERT MEETING"

At this year’s education fair, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences was represented by the

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering ()

, which showcased the broad spectrum of its academic programs through a carefully selected array of experiments and exhibits addressing subject-specific topics.

For example, using an S-roller, the digital product development process was demonstrated—from CAD modeling to prototype construction via 3D printing, manufacturing simulation, and measurement with a 3D scanner. The illustrative experiments in the field of fluid mechanics impressively demonstrated how water and wind power are converted into energy. Information and demonstration measurements on natural radioactivity (particularly radon) highlighted the traditions of radiation technology education.

Many of the visitors—mostly young people—tested their strength and dexterity on the experimental setups designed to measure torque and rotational speed on a Gyrotwister.

The fair appearance was rounded out by interesting physics demonstration experiments.

Expert advice on study opportunities at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences—and specifically at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering—complemented our university’s successful exhibition appearance at the largest education fair in the Görlitz district, which was praised by many visitors.
