Invitation to the summer concert
As part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the HSZG, the university choir invites you to Zittau on June 25.
The University Choirwill once again present a summer concert in Zittau on Sunday, June 25; this year’s program features the Mass in E-flat Major (Carl Maria von Weber), also known as the “Freischütz Mass.” Also on the program is the symphonic choral concert “Der Tag ist hin” by choir director Neithard Bethke. For the first time, the choir will perform alongside the Prague Chamber Choir, a professional ensemble with which future performances are planned in both Prague and Zittau.
Soloist Alessia Hyunkung Park from Seoul/Stuttgart will take on the demanding solo parts with her clear soprano voice. Christian Volkmann from Bremen will sing the equally challenging tenor parts. We are very pleased to be able to enjoy another performance with the German Bach Orchestra this year. Neithard Bethke will serve as the concert’s overall conductor.
Admission is free; we ask for a generous donation.
