A sign of sustainability and cohesion
Rector Kratzsch is planting a tree on the Zittau campus that he received from the General Entrepreneurs' Association of Zittau and the Surrounding Area, e. V., during his inauguration ceremony.
On July 7, the Rector of Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Alexander Kratzsch, fulfilled a small promise. Prof. Kratzsch personally planted the gift he received from the General Entrepreneurs’ Association of Zittau and Surrounding Areas e. V. at his inauguration ceremony —an American sweetgum tree—right next to the LaNDER³ Hall in Zittau.
Trees symbolize stability, growth, and deep roots—values that also define our university. The sweetgum tree reminds us every day that sustainable action begins with each individual and is put into practice on our campus.
Thanks to its close proximity to the campus, all members of the university will be able to enjoy the tree and watch it grow and flourish.
