A warm welcome to the university community
On October 20, 2025, the Rectorate and Senate of Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences welcomed the newly appointed professors at a festive reception. The event was a clear sign of a welcoming culture and provided space for personal encounters, open discussions and networking across faculty boundaries.

Exchange and diversity
The reception offered all new colleagues the opportunity to talk to the university management and members of the Senate in person. In a respectful atmosphere, experiences were shared, initial contacts were made and the diversity of the HSZG became visible and tangible.

After the official welcome, the afternoon ended with discussions and lively exchanges. In future, the reception is to be established as an integral part of the HSZG onboarding process and will take place once a year. As a sign of recognition and as a starting point for a shared sense of togetherness.
