Five German-Russian study certificates were awarded for active participation in the HSZG's "International Week".
Five German-Russian study certificates were awarded on May 3 for active participation in the "International Week Zittau/Görlitz 2018" in Görlitz. The joint study certificate with a focus on "Intercultural understanding, intercultural communication and regional studies" was awarded for the third time.
The cooperation partners are the Institute for Humanities and Social Technologies at Kostroma State University and the Studium fundamentale at the HSZG. Those responsible are Prof. Dr. Olga Pankratowa, lecturer Dr. Tamara Denisowa (both Kostroma State University) and Hon. Prof. Dr. Klaus Werner and Frank Schneider (both HSZG).
The group from Kostroma was led by Olesja Rassmagina (Office for International and Regional Relations, Kostroma State University). Prof. Dr. Viktor Litvinovic from Minsk State Linguistic University (Belarus) was welcomed as a guest researcher at this year's week.
German students have been taking part in an intercultural summer school in Kostroma as part of the Studium fundamentale since 2011. For more than ten years, the two universities have maintained a diverse academic relationship as part of a university partnership. As a concrete result of the summer school, one HSZG student intends to spend a semester abroad in Kostroma and in September 2018, 15 German students will once again travel to the University of Kostroma for a summer school. Three students from Görlitz actively supported the organization of the Intercultural Week. They were involved in Studium fundamentale as part of the International Study Buddy Program.
The project is supported by the DAAD with funds from the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
