Discussion between EI faculty and VDE regulars' table
Members of the VDE Bezirksverein Dresden e.V. accepted the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty of EI to the HSZG.
On Thursday, September 29, 2016, members of the VDE Dresden District Association’s corporate get-together accepted an invitation from the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
The members were welcomed in the entrance area of the large laboratory hall, and the meeting was then held in the laboratory area. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Haim, Prof. Dr. techn. Kornhuber, and Dr. Menzel presented background information, current updates, and selected research priorities in power engineering. In addition, the increasingly pressing issue of the shortage of young engineers was discussed, noting that the appeal of training and degree programs can be enhanced through collaboration with companies and industry.
The evening concluded with a group dinner in the high voltage facility.
