Collecting, refurbishing and donating glasses to people in need all over the world.
Under the motto: "DONATE GLASSES - GIVE SIGHT", the campaign alliance "Glasses Worldwide" has already collected, refurbished and distributed over 2 million pairs of glasses free of charge to people in need all over the world. The charitable project is supported by the "Deutsches Katholisches Blindenwerk e. V. (DKBW)" and the company "BEST gGmbH", which primarily employs people with severe disabilities.
The action alliance is now Europe's largest initiative for the recycling of used glasses. Materials containing valuable substances that are produced during the processing of the glasses are also properly fed into the recycling cycle.
The "MachMit" team is therefore delighted to be able to take part in this campaign and would ask you to make a contribution. Your glasses and sunglasses with prescription that are no longer in use can now be donated without fixed cases to the collection bins in the university libraries in Zittau and Görlitz.
