With KURTL as special guest and Latin American rhythms, the summer festival on 23.06. in Zittau has it all.
Summertime is travel time! We're bringing the world to the Zittau campus next Friday, 23.06.2017, from 16:00! To mark the festive occasion "25 years of Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences" , a summer festival will be held in the area in front of the Peter-Dierich-Haus, which promises to be not only colorful and multi-cultural, but also varied and extremely musical with its diverse cultural program.
From Latin American rhythms to Hungarian accordion music and African jerk dancing - these program items from a total of four continents represent the more than 100 partnerships that the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences maintains worldwide.
After the welcome by Rector Albrecht, Ms. Menzel from the Staff Council and Ms. Lehman from the Student Council, the journey through the world starts with our Czech neighbors with hearty brass music before our Polish friends Ariana Grzechnik and Kamil Kowal from the dance school "Ametyst" in Luban will conquer the stage with their dance performance. Then Semjon Butyrin from Russia will present accordion music from Hungary, before the program makes a stop in Asia. The young Iranian Masoud Talebi Charmchi will perform pop music from his country. Then it's across the Pacific to Latin America. Berenice will heat us up with salsa and merengue. The journey continues across the Atlantic to Africa, more precisely to Cameroon and a jerk dance number by Wilde Dilane Tougnia Tchomgui and Fardin Ramezani Hashjin. From there, the journey takes them back north to their homeland. As a crowning finale, KURTL will present his Oberlausitz songs, thus concluding the short musical journey around the world.
During the breaks, there will be world music from DJ Riccardo and one or two short stories about the international relations and projects of our university.
The summer party is aimed at all employees, students, friends and supporters of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Their families are also cordially invited to enjoy the program and the food and drink stands. Younger guests can let off steam on the bouncy castle or get creative with face painting.

Under the following link you can take part until today, Thursday, 22.06., 18:00, and thus have the chance to win a small prize. The winners will be drawn from all correctly submitted answers on 23.06.2017 and announced during the event. There will be HSZG surprise prizes, which will only be given to winners who are present. If the winner of the prize is not present, a new draw will be held.
