How did "Die Maus" end up on HSZG?
The LaNDER³ team is excited: “Die Maus,” one of the best-known and most successful children’s shows on German television, wants to look toward the future with educational stories. What crazy ideas, interesting plans, and exciting projects are out there to shape the world of tomorrow? The Mouse is looking for vivid examples and filming locations. And that’s where HSZG comes in! Also in the running for a filming location is the large-scale project “Lausitz Natural Fiber Composites, Decentralized Energy, Raw Materials, Resources, Recycling” (LaNDER³). A vote will now decide whether “Die Maus” actually comes to Zittau.

”A total of eight short clips are in the running
Voting is now open on the Kinderkanal (KiKA) website and will continue through August 31, 2021. Eight short video clips showcase various projects that explore forward-thinking ideas. The three projects with the most votes will be selected and will receive a visit from a WDR reporting and camera crew. On October 3, child-friendly educational segments on the most popular projects will be broadcast on KiKA as part of “Maustüröffner Day.”

Die Sendung mit der Maus is one of the most successful children's programs on German television. For 50 years, generations of children have been introduced to the world with so-called laughing and factual stories .
One thing is already certain: HSZG will be participating in the “Türen auf mit der Maus” open house event. On October 3, 2021, you can come explore the HSZG. Under the theme “Hello Future,” the HSZG, along with many other institutions, will open its doors to children eager to learn.
What: We’ll show how living and producing with what nature provides could be possible in the future. Together, we’ll examine various plants under a microscope and make natural-fiber plastics. Along the way, we’ll provide exciting insights into the topics of energy and the circular economy.
