The University Visits Moscow
In July, a delegation from the HSZG visited the Energy Institute to discuss future cooperation opportunities.
On July 4 and 5, a delegation from Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (Prof. Wolfgang Kästner, Institute for Process Engineering, Process Automation, and Measurement Technology; Prof. Stefan Kornhuber, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science; Prof. Tino Schütte, Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering; and Prof. Uwe Schmidt, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) visited the Moscow Energy Institute (Московский Энергетический Институт / МЭИ) with the aim of reestablishing long-standing contacts and, in particular, resuming student and academic exchanges.

were welcomed. During the two-day discussions, key areas of education and research, potential opportunities for cooperation, and next steps were discussed.
The MEI was founded in 1930 and was granted the status of a technical university in 2000. In particular, the university has maintained successful ties with German universities and colleges for decades, and this year the MPEI is celebrating the 50th anniversary of German-Russian relations with various activities. Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, comprising the Zittau University of Engineering and the Zittau University of Applied Sciences, can also look back on a successful collaboration, which is to be continued through various activities across departments and faculties.
