The second Health and Environment Days at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences start on June 1.
The Health and Environment Days (GUt) at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences are part of the MACH MIT environmental management program and are supported by numerous members of the university, the city of Zittau, companies, associations and initiatives.
We need an environment in which we can live healthily and feel good. Environmental influences have an impact on people's mental and physical well-being: these include stress, nutrition and mental and physical strain. When putting together the program, we took into account activities that are fun, reduce stress, have a positive effect on the natural environment and mood and promote health. We wish all GUt visitors eventful days!
Zittau: On the very first day at 7 pm, after a delicious meal, an interesting film "Voll Verzuckert" will be shown in the Kronenkino (admission free). VOLL VERZUCKERT - THAT SUGAR FILM follows the journey of a man who uncovers the bitter truth about sugar.
Görlitz: The traditional university sports festival opens at 1 pm. The HSZG's MachMit team will be there with a healthy activity for all those interested. This much can be revealed: you can pedal your own FairTrade smoothie on a bicycle.
Zittau: From 11 a.m., there will be an organic market with great offers in the foyer of the canteen.
Görlitz: After a delicious meal, we would also like to show the film "Voll Verzuckert" in Görlitz, which is well worth seeing. It starts at 8 pm at the Camillo Cinema.
Zittau: Have your bike checked free of charge at the "Radl-Center" between 09:30 and 12:00 or allow the students of the "RepairCafe" initiative (House IV) to instruct you on how to repair your defective devices yourself. You also have the opportunity to pedal a delicious FairTrade smoothie on a bike.
Zittau: Going to the university on Saturday too? Definitely, because as part of the HIT, the HSZG MachMit team will also be organizing a swap and flea market on the new campus in front of House IV. Görlitz: We would also like to draw your attention to the FairTrade Brunch in Görlitz from 11 a.m. in the Café-Bistro Kugel. (without registration)
Zittau: There will be a joint bicycle tour with the Mayor of Zittau and the Rector of the HSZG to the border triangle from 11 am. All HSZG members are invited to take part in this ride. 30 discount vouchers for a bicycle inspection will be raffled off among all participants. The start/end point is the town hall. At the finish you can expect stands from the HSZG MitMach team, the ADFC and Fritz Fahrräder.
In agreement with the Staff Council, up to 1.5 hours (including 30 minutes at lunchtime) will be counted as working time for the bike tour; participants in the bike tour log in and out via the "Dienstgang".
Zittau: At the end of GUt 2016, the "Seestern" at Lake Olbersdorf invites you to test various sports equipment at half price from 12 noon. The Seestern beach bar will also be open for you.
The Mobile Massage, Moving Break and Mensa Vital will also be on offer again. In addition, a pedometer challenge between teams from the university and the city of Zittau will take place for the first time.
