Germany reads aloud - HSZG joins in!

On the occasion of the nationwide Read Aloud Day, a reading bridge will be built between the twin cities of Wiesbaden - Görlitz - Wrocław.

Since 2004, the National Reading Aloud Day has been Germany's largest reading aloud festival and a public signal to inspire children and adults about the importance of reading aloud every year on the third Friday in November. On November 18, 2022 the nationwide reading aloud day will take place for the 19th time. The motto of this year's day of action is"Unique together" and thus recognizes the diversity of our society as an everyday enrichment and unifying element.

Together with the Society for the German Language, the town halls in Wiesbaden, Görlitz and Wrocław and the German-Polish Association Wiesbaden-Wrocław e. V., the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will also take part in Reading Aloud Day and build a "reading bridge between the twin cities of Wiesbaden - Görlitz - Wrocław/Breslau".

Bridges and reading aloud have something in common: both connect open-minded people who want to learn more about each other.

"We are delighted to have gained former and current students of our university, even an actor and many other participants who are friends of German and Polish literature and who will perform their favorite pieces on this afternoon." Prof. Dr. Annette Muschner, Faculty of Management and Cultural Studies

With this in mind, anyone interested is cordially invited to an inspiring and unifying afternoon of reading.
