The Zittau/Görlitz Student Council joins in

The student council is launching an appeal for donations in kind.

We, too—as the HSZG Student Council—addressed the refugee issue at the beginning of this semester and, without much debate, decided that we, too, want to get involved in this area and offer our support.

After consulting with the Refugee Aid Working Group, we are opening a donation drop-off point right on the Zittau campus.

This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Zittau branch of the German Red Cross (DRK). The Zittau DRK picks up the in-kind donations from us and distributes them to those in need. This ensures that the donations actually reach those who need them most.

For example, we accept clothing, electrical appliances, toys, and books, but everyday items are also needed and are gladly accepted. We will soon send a more detailed list of items needed to all members of the HSZG.

The drop-off location is in the Student Council office, Building Z III, Room 032.

Hours of operation starting January 19, 2016: Tuesday–Thursday, 1:00–4:00 p.m. Or by appointment.

The project will run through February 10, 2016, for the time being. We look forward to your generous support and wish all students success during exam season.
