Campus 4 You
HSZG invites you to design innovative teaching and learning spaces together on May 10 on Teaching Day.
How can innovative teaching and learning spaces be designed to best support our students’ learning process? This question is the focus of Teaching Day at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences on May 10, 2023. The Vice President for Education and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Sophia Keil, cordially invites students, staff, and faculty to discuss ideas and concepts for the innovative design of teaching and learning spaces on the Zittau and Görlitz campuses.
Under the motto “Campus 4 You – Designing Innovative Teaching and Learning Spaces Together,” participants will have the opportunity that afternoon to attend inspiring presentations by experts on the topic of modern teaching and learning space design and to exchange ideas on the importance of innovative teaching and learning methods as well as modern learning spaces.
When: Wednesday, May 10, 2023, 2:30–5:10 p.m.
Where: Building Z IV, Foyer

This year’s Teaching Day is something special, as the event will be accompanied from May 5 to 15, 2023, by an exhibition on the theme of “Innovative Teaching and Learning Settings” in the foyer of Building Z IV (Theodor-Körner-Allee 8 in Zittau), which invites visitors to try things out. Public sessions will take place during the exhibition, including the Vice President’s working meeting with the deans of studies. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends and developments in the design of teaching and learning spaces. The accompanying exhibition offers the chance to learn about the latest developments in this field and to find inspiration by trying things out for yourself.

Teaching Day is supported by the projects “MINOS – MINT-mach-Region Ostsachsen” and the “Zukunftslernort Oberlausitz” (ZukLOS) project of the University for Future of the university administration. In this initiative, children and young people are actively involved in the process of designing future spaces to ensure their needs and requirements are taken into account. Those interested are invited to join the Vice President and the team for a snack in the foyer of Building Z IV on May 11, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to learn about the current status of the ZukLOS project.
A positive learning environment with a supportive learning infrastructure can have a decisive influence on the teaching and learning process by combining space, technology and didactics in a meaningful way.
All interested parties are cordially invited to take part in the events surrounding Teaching Day.
