The Zittau University Library is hosting an exhibition of works by artist Peter Schiffner through February 2026.
On display in the library’s spaces, the paintings and prints—created using various techniques—offer a glimpse into the artistic work of this Zittau-based artist.
Some motifs are inspired by the characteristic landscapes of Upper Lusatia, the mountains of the Zittau Range, and the neighboring Bohemian Highlands. Visitors can also discover several depictions of the city of Zittau itself.
Other works reflect travel destinations or themes from the city and nature.
Peter Schiffner has a long-standing association with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, including his work in the former Department of Civil Engineering.
All interested parties are cordially invited to visit the exhibition “BLICKPUNKTE” free of charge during the opening hours of the Zittau University Library, located at Hochwaldstraße 12.
University Library Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
