18 prospective students from Malaysia visited the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) on June 8. They visited the German-Malaysian Institute at Taman University, Kajang, Malaysia and are now interested in studying at HSZG.
There is a long-standing partnership with the German-Malaysian Institute. One of the representatives, Dr. Wolfgang Zimmermann, accompanied the group to the university in Zittau.
Dr. Stefan Kühne, Director of Studies and International Affairs, welcomed the guests together with Ms. Suliman from the International Office and presented the university and details of the application procedures. Five Malaysian students, who have emerged from this partnership and are already studying at the HSZG in the faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, reported on studying at the university and life in the town of Zittau and the surrounding area. It was interesting to hear what sporting activities some of the students do in addition to their excellent academic achievements.
They then visited the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Faculty of Economics and Industrial Engineering. They also took the opportunity to try lunch in the student union canteen.
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences assumes that a number of the Malaysian prospective students will be able to enrol again this year in October.
